With the new year upon us we've been reflecting on the past year and, my, what a difference a year makes! On Christmas day last year, 2010, we found out that Cohen was a boy! What an exciting moment it was, and the cherished memories that have followed have been priceless. This year brought a whole new appreciation for stolen moments with the ones you love, health, and happiness. We couldn't be more blessed to have each other and our extended families. The coming year is sure to bring equally as many exciting and wonderful times. We can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!
Cohen is growing and changing everyday. He recently tried fruits, which we were a little nervous about. His daddy has such a sweet tooth that we did vegetables for a solid 2 months to ensure Cohen wouldn't refuse them after he tried fruit. So far, so good! He is getting up on his knees as though he wants to crawl, but still prefers rolling, swimming, and wiggling backward. He has tried drinking out of a sippy cup, but is baffled by why nothing comes out when the cup is not tipped upward. He has been busy exploring with some of his new toys from Christmas/Hanukkah; his favorite seems to be the jump-a-roo.
He would jump and play in this thing for hours, literally, if we let him. He has become increasingly interested in the books that we read during the day as well. We're working on clapping, waving, giving kisses, and being patient. For an almost 8 month old, he sure gets impatient when he doesn't get what he wants immediately.
our journey from just the two of us to being outnumbered by little ones!

6 month check-up
Cohen went in for his 6 (and a half) month check-up just before Thanksgiving and is still tall and skinny as ever! Here are his 4 month and 6 month stats:
4 months: Height 25 in (70th percentile)
Weight 12 lbs 11 oz (20th percentile)
6 months: Height 26.5 in (60th percentile)
Weight 14 lbs 5 oz (5th percentile)
His big milestones right now include rolling, sitting by himself, babbling, eating cereal and vegetables, and only feeding 4x a day (mommy is very excited about that last one)! He isn't crawling just yet, but he swims and rolls on the floor to get around. He LOVES bath time, meal time, and hanging out in his exersaucer.
